
The Grand Final of The National Matchplay Championship 2012, will be held at the
Vilamoura Resort on The Algarve. The leading competitors from the UK Finals will
be invited to Portugal inclusive of flights, accommodation and five rounds of golf
to contest the titles. The week ends with a Prize Presentation Dinner.

The tournament complies with all R&A regulations. After the closing date of 14th
May 2012, competitors will receive a copy of the draw, stating whether they are
playing home or away. The knockout stages will take place between June and September
on a regional basis to minimise travelling. If courtesy of the course is not granted
for the away player/s the green fees will be charged at the member's guest rate
and the cost shared between the home and away players. Competitors need only win
a maximum of four matches to qualify for the UK Finals, which will be held at selected
Macdonald Golf & Country Clubs across the UK in October, before leading singles
players and better ball teams head for the Grand Finals in Portugal in February
2013.

Competitors will be aiming to become the National Singles Champion and National
Better-Ball Champions. Players enter the Better-Ball competition in pairs and teams
may be mixed. The format consists of a maximum of four rounds regional matchplay
and one round Stableford at the UK Finals.

The events are open to ladies and gentlemen who are current members of an affiliated
club with an official recognised handicap. The maximum handicap is 28 for men and
36 for ladies. Ladies will receive adjustment shots in the matchplay rounds. Competitors
must be 18 years of age and over by 14th May 2012 (Senior pairs 50).

will be charged at the member's guest rate and the cost shared between the home
